Numerous individuals have rallied in various Australian cities at rallies supporting Palestine, with organisers pledging to keep demonstrating after a peace arrangement brokered by the former US president in Gaza initially appeared to be holding.

Sydney Demonstration Draws Large Crowd

In Sydney, the pro-Palestine organization announced a crowd of 30,000 had demonstrated from Hyde Park to Belmore Park in the city center after a planned rally to the famous building was banned by the legal authorities last week.

Law enforcement approximated eight thousand participants joined the city demonstration, with a representative stating there had been "minimal disturbances".

Nationwide Demonstrations Remember Occasion

Demonstrations were also conducted in Victoria's capital, Queensland's capital and Perth on the day of protest to mark two years of killing in Gaza after militant actions on 7 October 2023 caused significant casualties in Israel.

A different coordinator who made the first proposal to demonstrate at the famous location maintained that the protesters could have safely headed to the iconic waterfront location. The law enforcement official had earlier informed the judicial body that the arrangement appeared dangerous.

The coordinator said on Sunday: "On each occasion the law enforcement seeks to prevent our rallies or take us to the supreme court, it increases community attention... to the necessity to organize and resist these measures."
